The electrical (Solenoid) operator is a single solenoid mechanism that enables local and remote circuit breaker ON/OFF, and reset switching. The electrical operator is mounted on the circuit breaker cover within the tramline of the circuit breaker. The electrical operator uses a unique bitable latch that allows the device to operate using one solenoid. The accessory provides high speed switching with a maximum operating time of 5 cycles (80 ms), making it suitable for generator synchronizing applications. Means are provided for remote electrical operation and for local manual operation. A special slide includes provisions for padlocking the circuit breaker handle in the OFF position. The slide will accept three padlock shackles with a maximum diameter of 1/4 in each. An interlock electrically disconnects the solenoid when the electrical operator cover is removed. The rating data Tables provide electrical rating data for the electrical (solenoid) operator.
