3M 2229-P-3-3/4X6-1/2 SCOTCH-SEAL MASTIC TAPE
Product Overview
3M™ Scotch-Seal™ Mastic Tape Compound 2229 is a UV-resistant mastic-coated adhesive on an easy-release liner. It offers protection from extreme environmental conditions by padding, insulating and sealing them. This tape is moldable and able to conform to irregular surfaces. When covered with vinyl or rubber electrical tape, the tape can be used to insulate electrical connections rated up to 1000 volts. At a continuous operating temperature of 90 ºC, this 3-3/4-inch black adhesive can also seal high-voltage cable splice and termination accessories. Cut the adhesive and apply in layers or mold to the desired shape. 3M™ Scotch-Seal™ Mastic Tape Compound 2229 makes wire insulation easy. Note: Test Scotch Mastic 2229 tape with the semi-conductive jacketing material being used to ensure compatibility.
